A ‘crankie’ is a miniature theatre box with scrolling scenery and is a form of pre-cinematic moving image, dating back to Victorian times. Come explore your creativity and learn a new skill! Crankie making is a fun, accessible art form, with plenty of storytelling potential. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn as you go along.

Have You Felt It? Craft and play with felted puppets - workshop for adults

Have You Felt It? Craft and play with felted puppets - workshop for adults

Workshop description:

Create a simple puppet being, small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, and sense into its character through story and play.

Crafting a puppet with soft, sculptable felting wool lends itself to a spontaneous, playful making process. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to engage with the materials and learn as you go.

Whilst our hands are busy making, our imaginations can roam, building the connection with the puppet that is coming into being, and the stories that are waiting to be told.

As we will be a small group with a maximum of 8 participants, early booking is very much advised!

When? 4 Sunday evenings 6:30-8:30pm
Where? A cosy venue in Highgate, north London, N6. The full address will be sent to you upon booking.
If for any reason you’d prefer to join online, this option can be made available via zoom - please let Bronia know.

About the facilitator: Bronia is a storyteller, a puppeteer and a life-long maker of things. She is co-founder of One Moment In Time Storytelling.
www.broniaevers.com

Cost: £90 plus materials. If you can pay £90, please do. If this is more than you can afford, please get in touch.

On booking, you will be sent a list of basic materials that you will need for the workshop.
